Dataedis offers mapping and matching of Unique Identifiers (EAN, GTIN, ASIN, UPC, MPN, ISBN)

Dataedis offers mapping and matching of Unique Identifiers (EAN, GTIN, ASIN, UPC, MPN, ISBN): The mapping and matching of unique identifiers is a huge challenge that all retailers and their service providers and online marketing channels are dealing with. There are a few scenarios that can be identified:
The website has the EANs (or GTINs) for the items they are selling. The online marketing channel is requesting the EANs and this works fine. The mapping is 100% the same. This is the ideal scenario. However these are the exceptions that can occur:
Scenario 1: the EANs are not correct
The website assumes they have the correct EANs, but somehow they can not provide the correct EANs for the full assortment. The shops does have other identifiers, for example Manufacturer Part Number (MPN) or a combination of Product name and brand name.
Scenario 2: the Online Marketing Channel shows other items
The mapping between Shop and Online Marketing Channel shows differences in EANs and the correct product that should belong to that.
Scenario 3: Shop provides EANs or GTINs, Online Marketing channel or Market Places requires other input
The shops can provide with a correct set of EANs for the items they want to advertise with. The problem is that the Market Place they want to sell on, requires other identifiers, for example Amazon is requesting an ASIN numbers (Amazon Standard Identification Number). Now the matching and mapping start all over again….
You can imagine that there are a lot more scenarios. What they all come down to: The correct and/or complete mapping can not be done.
Dataedis knows this is a challenge in the ecommerce market. It is not a one time mapping/matching that needs to be done, but this needs to be done on a frequent basis, since this dynamic market changes constantly and the assortment of webshops and online retailers is also changing.
